Full Description

A survey was carried out of this well preserved E–W aligned sheepdip in February 2012. It consists of a c3.5m long by 0.5m deep dip and two concrete platforms, one at each end. The W platform measured 3.5 x 3m and the E 2 x 2m. The remains of an overgrown stone enclosure wall were noted nearby. The enclosure wall is marked on the 1st Edition OS map of 1875 and a sheepfold is marked on the 2nd Edition OS map of 1902. <1>
