Full Description
A flanged axehead from the NMS collections (DC 77) was catalogued and photographed as part of the North Kessock & District Local History Society and Archaeology for Communities in the Highlands (ARCH) collaborative 'Feats of Clay' Project, which was focused on Bronze Age metalworking around the Moray Firth. According to the museum records it was 'found in a bog in Inverness-shire' and was purchased in 1895. It was assigned an Middle Bronze Age date. <1> <2>
