Full Description

NG35NW 2 3455 5601.

What are probably the remains of a shieling-hut are situated at the foot of a N-facing crag due S of Camas Lagan. It comprises a small enclosure, measuring 5.7m by 3.5m internally, with cells opening off on the W and the S. The S cell, which was probably entered through a lintelled creep, is full of rubble, but the W cell is clearly defined and measures 2.4m by 1.8m internally. Around the S side of the enclosure, where it has been let into the scree of fallen boulders below the crag, its wall forms a revetment 1m high, but elsewhere it consists of a bank some 1.4m in thickness with an internal stone face. There are also traces of a small hut immediately to the NE.
