Full Description
An irregular drystone and turf dyke was recorded during an NTS pre-afforestation survey of Kintail and West Affric in 1997. It was spread to c1m wide and c0.5m high, and ran NE from the river Lichd towards the W end of the enclosure MHG59224. The dyke appears to predate the enclosure and ran for some 200m. The line of this wall is shown on the current but not the earlier OS maps. <1>
It is not all together clear from the description or annotated map provided within the Kintail and West Affric survey report which wall on current OS mapping it is referring to as there are two running NE from the river Lichd. It seems likely it is the wall to the west. <2>
