Full Description

A round-ended drystone structure was recorded during an NTS pre-afforestation survey of Kintail and West Affric in 1997. It was set in boggy ground, aligned NE-SW and measured c.5m by c.4m with walls c.o.8m wide and c0.6m high, which incorporating large boulders.
Some 65m to the SW and set slightly behind the crest of a rise was a substantial drystone building measuring c.9m by c.4m. It was aligned NW-SE with walls which survived up to 0.7m high by 0.5m wide. There were no obvious room divisions.
This appears to be the remains of a small farmstead possibly abandoned in the early 19th century. It was presumed that the round ended building to the NW (see MHG59366) is part of this farmstead. <1>

GIS spatial data created 2019 based the feature as seen in 2013 aerial photography. <2>
