Full Description
A series of irregular stone dykes were recorded during an NTS pre-afforestation survey of Kintail and West Affric in 1997. They were located at the N end of Loch Shiel running towards the river Shiel. In total, c. 90m of walling was recorded, c. 1m wide and up to c. 0.4m high. The lengths formed an incomplete barrier, but they could be the remnants of a former township boundary contemporary with the dykes at Achadhinrean (KIN037) and mid Loch Shiel (KIN039).<1>
