Full Description
Turf covered footings of a structure were recorded during an NTS pre-afforestation survey of Kintail and West Affric in 1997. It was located To the W of the path by Loch a' Bhealaich recorded on the 1971 OS map, and S of an unnamed burn. It measured c8m by c3m with walls c0.8m wide and c0.3m high and was aligned N-S. It has been interpreted as a deer watcher's dwelling, as the grazing is not particularly good in this area. However, no building is recorded here on the earlier OS maps. <1>
There is a dark feature on aerial photography taken 2013 which could possibly be this feature. <2>
