Full Description

A possible shieling site was recorded during an NTS pre-afforestation survey of Kintail and West Affric in 1997. The remains of a possible L-planned turf wall c.0.3m high and c.0.6m wide may have marked the remains of a turf-walled building c.4m by c.2m and mounds nearby may also have once held small buildings but these were very ill-defined. This was interpreted as a possible shieling site but of uncertain extent. <1>
