Full Description
Àrdgaserie. This area is marked on the Roy Map of 1747 as Ardgashrig and on Thompson’s Atlas of 1832 as Ardgassick, but does not appear on any Ordnance Survey map. The land around Loch Doire Ghloghain is now very wet and boggy, hence the features noted are ranged on the hillsides to the east and west of the wide glen. It was surveyed in 2013 by Rough Bounds Archaeology et al.
Site 12. Very tumbled structure at the northern end of a wide area of cultivation backed on the west side by a basalt ridge of bedrock. <1>
NGR adjusted based on 2012 aerial photographs. <2>
