Full Description
Àrdgaserie. This area is marked on the Roy Map of 1747 as Ardgashrig and on Thompson’s Atlas of 1832 as Ardgassick, but does not appear on any Ordnance Survey map. The land around Loch Doire Ghloghain is now very wet and boggy, hence the features noted are ranged on the hillsides to the east and west of the wide glen. It was surveyed in 2013 by Rough Bounds Archaeology et al.
Site 18. A possible small clearance cairn on the edge of another cultivation area on the east side of another basalt ridge. <1>
NGR adjusted based on 2012 aerial photographs. <2>
