Full Description

A possible burial cairn on a high point west of Achmore Farm was discovered by members of Historic Assynt in 2014. It consists of a circular spread of quartzite stones approx 12.3m E-W and 10.6m N-S on a ring contour on a limestone ridge. Nearby dykes and other preclearance structures also incorporate quatrxite within close proximity to this feature but are predominantly limestone further away than 10-15m. <1>
