Full Description

A small farmstead was found at Achmore by members of Historic Assynt in 2014. What may have been a small house, with a possible subdivision, externally 10.7 x 5.3m, has been partially destroyed to create hut(s) & pens within the building's footprint (NC 23704 22435); a short distance south is a barn or other outbuilding, externally 10.2 x 4.5m, (NC23688 24457) and to the north what appears to be a kale yard (NC 23706 24473). A further structure lies at NC23675 24444 and there are larger enclosures and dykes to the E and NE. <1>#
