Full Description
In 2009 Forestry Commission Scotland commissioned C Shepherd to undertake a survey and assessment of those parts of the 18th century Military Road network crossing the National Forest Estate in Inverness, Ross & Skye, Lochaber and North Highland Forest Districts, in order to enable it to develop sustainable management strategies. During the survey of Ratagan Forest, a stone culvert was recorded. It was presumably on the site of an earlier drainage feature, especially as the road measured only 4m in width at this point. <1>
