Fort Augustus, Crab Winch NH 37611 09121
This cast iron winch, in an A-frame and with the words “Lumley Shadwell, London” embossed on it, sits on newly refurbished paving. The winch may have been re-sited from the position of the winch NH 3794 0918 (MHG36110) which is no longer extant. Recorded in 2014 as part of RCAHMS Scottish Canals Recording Project. <1>
