Full Description
An overflow is depicted on the 1st and 2nd Edition OS Maps. <1> <2>
This spillway is in the north embankment of the canal just to the south of Kytra. It comprises a concrete platform 6m in width x 40m in length. The SE side has a concrete face 0.5m in height sloping to the canal and the NW side has a slope, faced with stone pavoir c4m in height, to the river. Recorded in 2013 as part of RCAHMS Scottish Canals Recording Project. <3>
