Full Description

A township comprising five roofed buildings, ten unroofed buildings and two enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire 1881, sheet xcii). Two roofed buildings, five unroofed buildings and three enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1970).

A walkover survey of the area west of Balgy river was undertaken by Macinnes, A. and Doe, T. in 2013.

Site 16. Stone dyke which continues to house on shore and over the moor. Possible head dyke. <1>
