Full Description
One part of a two-piece post-medieval copper alloy swivel fitting, probably from a leash or harness.
Claimed as Treasure Trove (TT 009/18) and allocated to Inverness Museum and Art Gallery. <1>
Information from the Treasure Trove database describes a swivel fitting, probably part of a hunting dog lead - allows lead to swivel. Made of copper alloy(?) - identification based on green discolouration. Outer diameter is 23mm, inner diameter 17mm. <2>
Four figure grid reference given is marginal. A full GR for the fitting is held by Treasure Trove. GW 17/07/20
