Full Description
Information from the Treasure Trove database describes a medieval annular copper alloy brooch discovered during metal detecting and submitted to TT in 2018 (TT 93/18). In two pieces (old break). Pin lost. Incised linear decoration on the front, reverse has no visible decoration. Badly damaged from ploughsoil. Approx. 38mm diameter, 6.4grams together. Possible allocated to Inverness Museum but this needs confirming. <1>
Four figure grid reference given is marginal. A full GR for the brooch is held by Treasure Trove. GW 17/07/20
