Full Description
Information from the Treasure Trove database describes 6 pieces of a post-medieval copper alloy bullet gang mould discovered during metal detecting and submitted to TT in 2018 (TT 88/18). Moulds are slightly irregular in shape, and appear to have been carved out. Circular sprue. Calibre range 18.2mm; 17.3mm; 15.4mm; 15mm; 14.8mm; 10mm. The 4th mould is slightly offset. Possibly allocated to Inverness Museum but this need confirming <1>
Four figure grid reference given is marginal. A full GR and precise placename for the mould is held by Treasure Trove. GW 17/07/20
