Full Description

Information from the Treasure Trove database describes a medieval copper alloy annular brooch discovered during metal detecting and submitted to TT in 2015 (TT 186/15). Small with square section and rounded corners. Incised grooves at each quarter. Pin missing. 30.4mm x 3mm. Allocated to Inverness Museum and Art Gallery. <1>

A medieval copper alloy annular buckle is also recorded in the Treasure Trove database, found by metal detecting at Drumderfit. Complete with transverse ridge, it has been dated to 13th-15th centuries. It was submitted to Treasure Trove (TT 10/07) and allocated to Groam House Museum. See attached TT report. <1> <2>
