Full Description
Within NMS collections are an axe of micaceous schist, 7 1/2" x 2 3/4" with pecked surface, aquired from L. Tait, and an oblong cup of steatitic stone, 2 3/4 in., with handle and lines round the rim. These are from Rosehill, Sutherlandshire. They were acquired by the NMS in 1870 from L. Tait (AF 19 and AQ 36). Note: 'Rosehill' possible spelling error for Rosehall, Sutherland.
Grid reference is indicative of Rosehall area only, precise findspots unknown. GW 10/07/19
