Full Description
A polished stone axehead from Melvich, Sutherland, was acquired by the NMS in 1922. It is described in the NMS catalogue as well polished; the chipped parts have been filled cement. Acc. No. AF 666. <1>
A macehead, found near Melvich, is listed in the Caithness Horizons catalogue under Acc. No. ARC5. Also listed from Melvich is a stone ball (ARC1005). <2>
The precise findspots are unknown. Grid reference is indicative of Melvich area only. GW 23/03/2020
