Full Description

A Neolithic axehead from Kyle of Lochalsh was acquired by the NMS in 1953. Is is described in the catalogue as made of a fine buff stone with quartzite streaks, the butt and sides abraded and two opposite hollows towards one side. Acc. No. AF 933. <1>

The precise findspot is unknown. Grid reference is four figure and indicative of Kyle of Lochalsh area only. <2>
