Full Description

A line of 12 wooden posts, approx 20cms diameter, just above the high water line and below the house called Ferry House (aic). The river is tidal here; the posts are in a line at the bottom of a steep bank. There must have been a line of steps (not now visible) down to the ferry platform that would have sat on these posts. The opposite, northern, bank of the river is sloping down to the water line. There is a straight road from this opposite bank to the town of Beauly (see MHG44250).
Visited by Scotland's Coastal Heritage at Risk (SCHARP) 1996. <1>
