1845 North Erradale estate map <1>

A survey of North Erradale was undertaken in 2013 by Macinnes, A. Harnden, A. Blakey, R. and researched by Macintyre, I. Croft 23 lies on a N to S slope and there are two buildings attached to and within an enclosure wall. The wall today remains as a low stone dyke. The buildings are first shown as roofed on the 1st OS and are still roofed on the 2nd OS.

Site A. This building has two compartments. There is no clear internal door or entrance to the W side but as the building has lots of tumble it is difficult to see. There is a doorway on the S wall of the E compartment and a byre drain runs S from this wall. <2> <3>
