Full Description
A small fragment of punched sheet gold was found by metal detecting near Kinbeachie Castle. It would have been part of a medieval hair fillet, and similar to an example from Iona. It was submitted to Treasure Trove (TT 80/06) and allocated to Inverness Museum. It is listed under Acc. No. 2007.017 in the IMAG catalogue. See attached TT artefact report. <1> <2>
