Full Description
Several medieval and later finds were discovered during metal decting around Balblair. This included a unusual example of a medieval spindle whorl, which was flat and one sided and likely made using one part of a two part mould. It was submitted to Treasure Trove (TT 109/14) and allocated to Nairn Museum. See attached TT report for details. <1> <2>

Four figure grid reference given is marginal. A full GR for the spindle whorl is held by Treasure Trove. GW 24/07/20
