Full Description

A mixed assemblage of 57 Late Bronze Age to post-medieval objects were submitted to Treasure Trove. Only 1 object, a copper alloy shoulder plate of the Fort William Volunteers, was claimed (TT 133/12). This was allocated to Inverness Museum and is listed under Acc. No. 2013.002. See attached TT report for further details. <1> <2>

The findspot location and grid reference given in the TT report do not match. A marginal grid reference between the two has therefore been mapped. GW 10/02/20

A post-medieval assemblage of 9 objects were discovered metal detecting from Inshes. This comprised a musket ball, an Enfield bullet, a Snider-Enfield bullet, a pistol ball and cloth seals. This assemblage was submitted to Treasure Trove and disclaimed (TTNC 2013/026). <1>
