Full Description
An oval copper alloy bayonet scabbard belt plate was submitted to Treasure Trove (TT 180/15). This measured 71mm by 53m and its obverse was stamped with 'Moidart Volunteers'. It was dated to the 18th-19th century. Allocated to the West Highland Museum. <1>
The shoulder plate is on display at West Highland Museum. <2>
Four figure grid reference given is marginal. A more detailed GR and placename for the belt plate is held by Treasure Trove. GW 24/07/20
