Full Description
A fragment of a copper alloy spur was submitted to Treasure Trove. It was a rowelled spur arm, sub-triangular in plan and bowed in profile. Its surface was heavily abraded. There was a visible linear pattern in some areas which comprised diagonal lines forming cevrons pointing towards the would be centre of the spur. It was disclaimed (TTNC 2018/084). <1>
A possible silver finger ring of unknown date was also submitted to Treasure Trove from close by. It was also disclaimed (TTNC 2018/064). <1>
A small unidentified object with a possibly zoomorphic head was discovered metal detecting at Cawdor and was submitted to Treasure Trove (TTDB 2018/145). It is awaiting allocation. <1>
Four figure grid refererence given is marginal. Ten figure GRs for the spur and ring are held by Treasure Trove. GW 02/03/20
