Full Description
A macehead, broken across its perforation, was found on Nigg Beach and submitted to Treasure Trove (TT 139/13). It was allocated to Tarbat Discovery Centre. See attached TT report for photo. <1> <2>
The exact findspot of the mace is unknown, and an indicative grid reference at the beach east of Nigg pier has been mapped. However, it is possible it came from Nigg Bay to the west. GW 06/03/20
