Full Description
A large cast copper alloy brooch pin was discovered and submitted to Treasure Trove (TT 216/16). It is from a large annular 'Highland Brooch'. Such brooches were commonly worn in Highland Scotland from 15th-17th centuries, and the size of this example (93mm long) would suggest a date in the latter half of this date range. It was allocated to Inverness Museum. See attached TT report for details and photo. <1> <2>
