Full Description

A possible hut circle, or sheep fold at Lieurary.

A hut circle visible in LiDAR data gathered by AOC Archaeology in 2011 as part of the mitigation for the visual impact on the archaeological landscape associated with the proposed Baillie Hill windfarm, Caithness. Prominent hut-circle 300m east of east shore road beside Loch Calder. <1>

The feature is shown on the OS 1st Edition map and labelled 'Sheep fold'. It is also visible in vertical aerial photography as a circular feature c. 14.5m in diameter. <2> <3> <4>
