Full Description
Three small circular features near Loch Calder.
Three small circular features visible in LiDAR data gathered by AOC Archaeology in 2011 as part of the mitigation for the visual impact on the archaeological landscape associated with the proposed Baillie Hill windfarm, Caithness. Fragmentary circular structures, badly disturbed by later MoLRS building and enclosure. Possible hut-circles. <1>
These structures are very small for hut circles, with two being c.5m in diameter and the third c.6m, being more the size of shieling huts. One, Site 40, is also rather dubious as a feature. [IS-L 23/05/2020].
