Full Description
A former farmstead near Lieurary. On the OS 1st and 2nd Edition 6" maps it is labelled 'Balnahishoch'
A building identified in LiDAR data gathered by AOC Archaeology in 2011 as part of the mitigation for the visual impact on the archaeological landscape associated with the proposed Baillie Hill windfarm, Caithness. Small unroofed building or enclosure, located in improved farmland. <1>
Clearly shown as a farmstead with roofed/unroofed buildings on the OS 1st Edition 6"map. By the 2nd Edition it was a single roofed building with attached sheep pens/fanks. It has subsequently gone out of use and only 4 walls remain [IS-L 12/06/2020].
