Full Description
A building and enclosure on the east side of Loch Calder, Caithness.
A building identified in LiDAR data gathered by AOC Archaeology in 2011 as part of the mitigation for the visual impact on the archaeological landscape associated with the proposed Baillie Hill windfarm, Caithness. Rectangular structure; possible boat house onLoch Calder. <1>
The building is shown here with an enclosuure immediately adjacent to the north on the OS 1st Edition 6" map. Loch Calder is now larger than it used to be and far from being a boathouse, this was probably a small farmstead [IS-L 01/07/2020].
