Full Description
Ruined buildings to the southeast of Mains of Brims, Caithness.
Unroofed building identified in LiDAR data gathered by AOC Archaeology in 2011 as part of the mitigation for the visual impact on the archaeological landscape associated with the proposed Baillie Hill windfarm, Caithness. <1>
In comparing the LiDAR data and analysis with the OS 1st Edition map, the site as identified misses the actual building. This is one of several buildings with associated small enclosures running roughly east-west and all were probably farm/estate workers' cottages [IS-L 21/07/2020].
