Full Description
An enclosure north of Skiall, Caithness.
A rectilinear enclosure identified in LiDAR data gathered by AOC Archaeology in 2011 as part of the mitigation for the visual impact on the archaeological landscape associated with the proposed Baillie Hill windfarm, Caithness. <1>
There are indications in the LiDAR data that other field banks or dykes extending to the north and east are also present as well as slight evidence for rig and furrow. Presumably this is a remnant of the former pre-improvement field pattern [IS-L 04/08/2020].
