Full Description

A grass and heather covered slight penannular bank is situated 75m NNW of sheepfold at Upper Munsary (ND24NW 14). It has maximum dimensions of 14m diameter. The penannular bank, spread to 3m, encloses a slightly sunken area some 8.2m in diameter. There is a possible break in bank to NW, facing a small burn which is not marked on 1:10,000 OS map. It is possible that this is a hut circle or shieling, but equally it could be a natural feature.
