Full Description
The North of Scotland Archaeological Society (NoSAS) undertook an archaeological survey of Urchany in 2015.
Site H01; On the E-facing hill slope facing the Allt na Criche is a platform which is revetted on the upslope and buttressed on the downslope. On the platform are the low stone walls of a circular structure, about 3.5m internal diameter. A possible entrance is in the SW. There is considerable post-abandonment stone-dumping within. It is closely associated with hut circle H02 (hut 'K') - (see MHG61222). This is presumably a prehistoric hut circle on a recessed platform. <1>
