Full Description

In June 2015, a walkover survey was undertaken at Ferry Croft, Lairg by Anne Coombs on behalf of the Forestry Commission Scotland to identify and demarcate archaeological sites in advance of clear fell operations.

Site 3; Possible cairn. The area where this site has been marked on the map has been subject to a considerable amount of windblow and it is possible that the cairn may still survive below the timber. However, there was no evidence of a cairn beyond the windblow. <1>
