Full Description
Between May and August 2012, a survey was undertaken by the North of Scotland Archaeological Society (NoSAS) to identify, survey, and record the archaeological remains at Achadh Mor, Loch Garve.
Site 1; Hut circle. This hut circle has an internal diameter of 10m. The walls are partly destroyed but an earth and stone arc survives in the south; this is 0.75m high and has a c5m spread. Associated with this hut circle is a field system (site 3) of clearance cairns. A linear bank (see MGH62453) may also be associated; this takes the form of a line of moss-covered boulders 30m in length, aligned NW-SE and c1m thick x 0.5m high. <1>
