Full Description
A shieling hut and possible pen on the east flank of Mullach a' Ghlinne.
The features were recorded in 2013 during a walkover survey by Headland Archaeology in advance of the proposed Culachy Windfarm. Located on a low mound above and NE of a gulley on the E flank of Mullach a' G hlinne are the vestigial remains of two turf-structures. Sub-rectangular structure, 3.2 x 2.2m inside a turf-covered bank, with rounded corners and longer axis aligned NE-SW: probable shieling hut. Fragmentary remains of second, smaller structure - possibly a pen - lie a few metres to the SE. <1>
