Full Description
A small pen at Tòrr Mòr, Strath, Skye.
On a small shelf on the W bank of the burn close to Torr Mor, at a height of 38m OD is a small circular enclosure 2.7m in diameter over walls 0.75m thick. This structure may overlie a ruinous earlier enclosure of similar size. Visited by C S, 3 April 1990. <1>
The site was recorded by M Wildgoose in 1999 in advance of a proposed woodland creation scheme. Lying on a small shelf, to the north-west of a small burn, at the foot of the south flank of Ton Mar, is a small, well built, pen. The pen is circular in plan and measures 2.7m in diameter over a wall which still stands to a maximum of 1m high and is 0.8m thick. A collapsed door opening faces to the south-east. <1>
