Full Description

NG61NW 14 6243 1754

Tucked into an E-facing slope on the W bank of the Allt na Pairte and close to the path to Boreraig, are the badly-degraded remains of at least one, possibly two, shielings. The better-preserved stucture is circular and measures 4.5m N-S by 3.5m E-W over walls of rubble construction; a door opening lies on the E-facing side. The second structure lies to the N and is built of boulders, but is now too disturbed to positively identify as a shieling.
Visited by C Stansfield, 3 April 1990.
