Full Description
NG62SW 16 c 64 23
May be confused with (MHG13994) NG62SW 7.
In a field at Broadford called "Bearbhai", of which the meaning is unknown, a cairn was recently removed. Amongst other objects, was found a curious ornament of green stone, pierced with four listes (? Wrist-guard). (See also NG62SW 1 and 19) G L Gomme 1886.
This field could not be identified during fieldwork.
Visited by OS (C F W) 13 June 1961.
It seems possible that this record could be a duplicate of MHG13995 or vice versa. Both this record and MHG13995 were never located and were based on four figure grid references, and therefore could both also possibly be referring to the chambered cairn MHG6271 (within which was a green stone wrist guard), associated cist MHG41557, and associated wrist guard findspot MHG13994, which are nearby.
