Full Description

A possible clearance cairn at Ardmolich, Moidart.

The feature was recorded by AOC Archaeology Group during a pre-felling walkover survey of Ardmolich Wood in 2016: Sites 3-8 are all located in close proximity on a broad, relatively flat natural ridge or terrace c. 40m across. Group of small boulder deep set into ground to form concentric ring. C. 1.5m by 1.5m. Encloses a tree which has disturbed it heavily. Some stone visible within ring of stones. Kerbed/well built clearance cairn? <1>
