Full Description
Two enclosures at Laig, Eigg.
Two oval enclosures on a terrace covered with rig-and-furrow and a clearance heap are situated about 240m W of Na Sidheanan and about 320m S of the Bay of Laig. The NW enclosure has a wide gap on the N side and is 7m by 5.5m in length within a bank of boulders 1m in thickness and 0.4m in height. The SE enclosure is situated at the foot of a NE facing scarp and measures 7.5m by 4.6m in length over a bank of boulders 1m in thickness and 0.3m in height. To the SW, on an N-facing terrace, there is a clearance cairn that measures 16m by 9.2m and 1m in height, with a possible enclosure on the W side.
