Full Description

The Inverness Field Club, led by Donald Coghill, surveyed a number of sites in the Aird area between 1987 and 1989. N.E. of Colt Cottages, Roadside Wood, Altnacardich.
Suspected robbed cairn on low knoll in dense woodland, with what appear to be kerbstones covered with moss, three of which are large and closely positioned. This may be one of the three Clava cairns noted by Wallace in 1886 (No. 1 in R.C.A.H.M.S list for N.E. Inverness) of which nothing subsequently could be seen. (Henshall 1963-72) <1>

Note: Site not visible on aerial photographs so location based on grid coordinates. (T. Blackie 6/07/23)
