Full Description

The Inverness Field Club, led by Donald Coghill, surveyed a number of sites in the Aird area between 1987 and 1989. Groam of Annat.
On the southwest end of an elevated wooded spur there are very faint traces of a circular ditched enclosure which is 24 yards in diameter.

Forty yards to the north north west, there are traces of an outer earthwork but more substantial and prominent linear earthworks can be observed further out from the west side of the enclosure. This may be the chapel site or burial ground, site No. 178 mentioned in RCAHMS Record N.E. Inverness as being in this immediate area. <1>

Note: Site not visible on aerial photographs so location based on grid coordinates. (T. Blackie 2/08/23)
